MedPlex provides medication assisted treatment for substance use disorders and other mental health conditions. Our Medical Director is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine, so we are uniquely qualified to handle complex treatment plans. It has always been our goal to help patients and their loved ones get their lives back. We are dedicated to each patient because we know how devastating these illnesses can be to friends, families, and communities. Many of us have felt the first-hand impact of these chronic illnesses, so we are dedicated to compassionate treatment. Our Vision is to make a difference by passionately providing treatment for those who are battling opioid dependence and addiction. At MedPlex we are dedicated to improving quality of life. We strive to equip, encourage and support each patient through their journey of opioid dependence and addiction recovery.

MedPlex outpatient drug treatment facilities allow patients to continue normal daily routines while seeking treatment. Treatment begins to take effect very quickly for most patients. We are open six days a week at our Birmingham clinic and several days a week at our Jasper clinic. This allows convenient treatment to ensure minimal interruption in your daily life.

ADDICTION TREATMENTS

Our medication assisted treatment program helps patients avoid relapse by controlling urges, cravings and withdrawal symptoms. With the use of SUBOXONE® and other Buprenorphine products, Medplex, Inc. physicians help clients beat addiction and regain control of their lives.

DUAL DIAGNOSIS TREATMENTS

Dual diagnosis treatment means medically treating substance use disorders as well as mental health conditions simultaneously. Doing so can help prevent patients from self-medicating symptoms with substances may worsen their psychiatric condition. This comprehensive approach is ideal to break this cycle.

7 years later and I'm still the most satisfied patient in the world. Not only did they literally save my life from the vicious cycle of street drugs there is almost never staff turnover the same people that were there in 2018 when I started going are still there which makes them my family and they feel the same way. My mother was a patient before I was and they never judged me or had anything but sympathy and kindness. Mom and I live 2 hours away and we still drive all the way to Birmingham twice a month rather than somewhere local because it's Soo worth the drive I wouldn't leave the Drs at Medplex no matter where they moved. They will be in my life forever as far as mom and I are concerned. They don't treat patients the same they know all about what my needs are and accomodate them every month. My life once was not worth living I thought I would be drug addled and dead or in prison by now if not for them. But now my entire life and my self have become productive member of society who has purpose and teaches others how to do the same. And if I hadn't had Medplex I know none of it would have happened. I love you all. Billy is professional but also truly concerned for us and runs the office with obvious ease. Tonya Yolanda Katie Anna Dr Snow and Dr Lazemby make other Dr offices that I've been to Look incompetent and lazy. Y'all keep drinking your awesome sauce each morning 🌞 for all our sakes.

DR SNOW DR LAZEMBY BILLY KATIE YOLANDA TONYA ANNA ALL KD OF THE STAFF SAVES LIVES! Before I discovered Medplex my life was in shambles I was an opiate addict homeless sick weighing about 90 lbs and I have been going since 2018 and it's changed my life in ways that are unbelievable! SUBOXONE®

SUBOXONE® (buprenorphine and naloxone) is an FDA approved medication that is used to fight opioid or painkiller addiction. It works by suppressing withdrawal symptoms and drug cravings while blocking the effects of other opioids in your system for at least 24 hours. It is a preferred alternative to methadone as it does not cause the euphoria that is associated with opioid drugs which prevents abuse potential.
